Structure
The Rahmah Educational and Innovation Foundation is a nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Michigan. It is governed by a Board of Directors under its Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws.
Leadership
- Board of Directors: sets direction and oversees programs, funding decisions and finances
- Executive Director: runs programs, partnerships, fundraising and operations
Oversight of funding
- Scholarships are selected under the oversight of the Executive Director and Board, with input from educators and academic advisors
- Research grants are reviewed by a selection committee overseen by the Board
- Scholarship funds are paid directly to educational institutions, not to individuals
Tax status
The Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt public charity under section 501(c)(3). Its EIN is 41-4201583, and its status can be confirmed with the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search.
